How to Register / Anmeldung

As you can see, we moved from the «Media Wiki» that we used for the first two installments, to mixxt. This system has been used by many BarCamps in Germany and all over Europe.

Registration for BlogCampSwitzerland works as follows:

1. Register with mixxt (see right navigation bar)
2. Join the network (this is to receive updates, etc.)
3. Go to the Events page and register for the event BlogCamp Switzerland 4 (important, only this gets you on the list)
4. If you want to present, go to the unAgenda page and enter your session.

But this looks more complicated than the other System. Well, at first glance, it might, but with the Media Wiki, a lot of people had trouble editing the old system to register. Once you have registered with mixxt, it's really only one click to participate. Also, we appreciate the possibility to be able to reach all people by email which was not possible before.

I don't like that I have to register. Well, it has already proven a big advantage to be able to reach people by email with announcements and instructions.

Wie Ihr seht, sind wir vom Media Wiki, das wir für die ersten beiden Durchführungen genutzt haben, auf mixxt umgestiegen. Dieses System wurde und wird von vielen BarCamps in Deutschland und ganz Europa verwendet.

Die Registrierung für das BlogCampSwitzerland funktioniert folgendermassen:

1. Registrier Dich bei mixxt (siehe rechte Navigationsleiste)
2. Trete dem Netzwerk bei (um Updates zu erhalten, u.s.w.)
3. Geht zur Events Seite und registrier Dich für das Event BlogCamp Switzerland 4 (wichtig, da Du nur so auf die Liste kommst)
4. Wenn Du etwas präsentieren möchtest, geh auf die Programm-Seite und tragt es dort ein.

Aber das sieht komplizierter aus als das andere System. Okay, vielleicht dem ersten Anschein nach. Mit dem alten Media Wiki hatten viele Leute Probleme beim Registrieren. Wenn Ihr euch nun bei mixxt registriert habt, ist es nur noch ein Klick bis zur Teilnahme. Zusätzlich schätzen wir die Option, alle Leute mittels E-Mail erreichen zu können. Das war vorher nicht möglich.

Ich mag es nicht, mich registrieren zu müssen. Gut, wir denken jedoch, dass es ein grosser Vorteil ist, die Leute per E-Mail bezüglich eventueller Ankündigungen und Instruktionen erreichen zu können.
